SITEREP: AKIM SWEDRU UNNATURAL DEATH
On 20/08/2019 about 6am today, No.51345 L/Cpl.
Eugene Songoti Abaah phoned the station to report that about 5:40am yesterday, he arrived at Dukes Petroleum Filling station to buy fuel and went to check on the officer on duty.
That's when he saw the duty man No.51345 L/Cpl. Alhassan Asare sitting in a plastic chair behind a story building at the premises Dead with his duty rifle in between his legs having sustained severe gunshots wounds on the head.
The Deceased Police man's uniform was soaked with blood.
On him, was three empty shells found on the ground.
The big question is, are we safe?
Just recently a Traditional Chief in Kumasi was murdered and investigations are still ongoing and now this?
I urge all to be cautious of their movements, and kindly desist from walking home late , and be more alert when approaching silent areas too.
One more thing, do well to look back at least twice on your every move you take whether in public, private or vicinity.
