Another Record Label Signs Stonebwoy

Stonebwoy has been signed by Universal Music Group, one of the mightiness music labels in the world. The deal was announced today at the opening of Universal Music Group’s new Pan-African division office in Nigeria.

Stonebwoy who is currently on his ‘Epistles Of Mama’ tour would be joining other African acts who are signed unto the music label. His contract with Zylofon Music will not disturb as the deal has its a contract that outlines what they would be entertaining.

This new deal with the Universal Music will give him utterances to tap into their global network for wider discovery, marketing, promotion, and distribution.

He has now joined the likes of Ghana’s Afro

soul songstress, Cina Soul who was signed earlier by the music label.

Other artistes signed to the label include Nigerian artistes WurlD, Odunsi (the Engine), Tay Iwar,Mr Eazi and co-signed Tekno in collaboration with Island Records UK, and co-signed Tanzanian singer and songwriter Vanessa Mdee in collaboration with AfroForce1 Records.

UMG’s new division in Legos will support artists from Nigeria, Ghana, and the Gambia throughout the continent and beyond.

This new strategic division will operate from a new office in Lagos, under the leadership of Nigerian music executive Ezegozie Eze Jr., who has been named General Manager of Universal Music Nigeria.
