Sarkodie’s Response To Those Bashing Him For Not Helping a Girl Who Needs Money for Surgery
Sarkodie responds to attacks on Twitter after he shared a pic of a girl who needs money to undergo a surgery.
Sometimes people expect a lot from you when they know who you are and what you can do based on your status or level. Sarkodie posted a photo of a 4-year-old girl said to have swallowed Caustic Soda and needs 15000 GHC to undergo a surgery. This did not go well with most of his followers and “Stalkers” on twitter. Most people thought 15k is no money for Sarkodie who is worth millions and ticked as the richest celebrity in Ghana by MTV Base Africa. The attacks were intense and some resulted to insults. At some point, I also said to my self “But he can just settle this without sharing the picture…” But I guess things became more clear after he responded to the attacks.
According to Sarkodie, he saw the picture on social media and quickly contacted them and actually gave them more than what they wanted. But told them that, he would prefer to stay anonymous for personal reasons. Later, they came up with the 15k as what is really needed after checking with the doctor again. So he (Sarkodie) decided to share the new bill so that others can help as well.
I guess that explains it and people will be more considerate knowing he actually gave more than enough before the new bill came out. I don’t wont to go much into why the figures changed after Sarkodie helped them with what they needed before; but let’s pray the little girl gets the help she needs to get the surgery done!
